Welcome to your Astro Mojo. I'm your astrologer Lisa Paron and this is your general western astrology forecast for May 2016. May’s lucky stars begin on the 1^st, with the Sun in Taurus in a lovely aspect to Neptune in Pisces. This sparkling energy is perfect for artists, entertainers and creative types to find inspiration and create beauty. It could also mean a golden opportunity presenting itself for people affected by this transit.

One of the best aspects of the month is on the 3^rd, when the Sun in Taurus makes a lucky star or earth trine with Jupiter in Virgo. The Sun is also approaching a trine with Pluto in Capricorn that is exact on the 7^th and joining the earth trine is the planet Mercury or The Messenger of the Gods. Now, normally I would say, this is a wonderful time for new beginnings, projects, business and enterprises, but with 5 planets currently in retrograde motion, not so much. This is a slower paced energy, not a time to take action. It is a time to chill out, reflect on your situation, rest and to give yourself a reboot.

The planet Mercury went retrograde or in backward station on April 29th, 2016 at 24 degrees of Taurus. Mercury is also known as the Messenger of the Gods and governs over all forms of communication, commerce, writing and speech. Taurus is a stubborn, fixed Sun sign and does not like to be rushed or forced into anything. With Mercury retrograde in Taurus it can influence people’s lives to slow down and they think about things longer before they reach a decision, so if you insist on an answer during this time it will likely be no. The first 10 days of May, the planets Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto are all in a retrograde or an off kilter and slowed energy. During a retrograde transit there is a higher than average chance of missed appointments, problems associated with communications, travel chaos, computer crash’s, electronic or mechanical problems and general confusion. That said, Mercury retrograde is a wonderful time for a redo or to finish up projects you have already begun. Before Mercury goes retrograde, back up your files on your computer, double-check your appointments, travel plans and commitments. 

On the 6th we have a New Moon Super Moon at 16 degrees of Taurus. This is a good time to attend to your finances and make solid plans for the future. This is also a good time for pampering yourself, relaxing and gardening. Why not enjoy a lovely meal with family or a loved one. Mighty Jupiter stations direct on the 9^th at 13 degrees of Virgo which will slowly begin progress in business and areas of life we want to expand. Also on the 9^th, Venus and Neptune make a harmonious angle perfect for a romantic evening as well as artistic pursuits such as painting, acting or music. On the 10^th, Jupiter makes a lovely star angle with Venus in Taurus. A new love interest or business proposition may present itself at this time. It is also a great day for a date, lovely dinner or a little romance. Venus the planet of love and money is currently in the Earth sign of Taurus until the 24^th. Venus in Taurus casts a sensual energy on people and encourages us to indulge in all forms of pleasure such as luxury items, good food as well as things of beauty and beautiful people. This sparkling Venus energy will give the earth signs of Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn extra charisma, charm and allure for the next three weeks. This is a great time to ask for a favor as others will see you as irresistible.

The 13th is a good time for love and romance when Venus at 17 degrees of Taurus makes a harmonious angle with Pluto in Capricorn. People at this time will be more romantic, seek out the finer things in life. This is a perfect time for a romantic gourmet dinner or for pampering oneself. The Sun enters the air sign of Gemini on the 20th switching our focus to matters related to communications, writing, intellectual pursuits, travel as well as siblings and cousins. It is a good time to catch up on networking, errands and is a nice time for a short trip or vacation to an exotic destination.

On the 21^st we have a Full Moon at 1 degree of Sagittarius putting an emphasis on worldly pursuits, education and long distance travel plans. This energy may also have some people feeling energized or it may bring a situation to completion. Influencing the Full Moon is Mars who has cozied himself right beside Luna and is in opposition to the Sun. This will give the Full Moon an extra shot of caffeine so to speak. Mars energy can add drama, impatience or urgency to any situation and some of you will be feeling quite anxious on this Full Moon.

Mercury stations direct on May 22^nd at 14 degrees of Taurus. Life will begin to get back to normal; however it is best to wait until Mercury leaves its shadow phase on June 9th when it reaches 24 degrees of Taurus to be extra sure. On the 24^th, Venus enters the Air sign of Gemini. Venus in Gemini can influence our romantic desires, thoughts and intentions. People in general will tend to be fickle as far as romantic interests go and are more likely to be flighty during this time. It is a good time to write poetry and sweet words of love. On the 26^th, Jupiter squares Saturn for the last time this year. This could mean a reality check is on the way when these 2 heavy hitters square off. Some of you may realize a big dream will take a lot more hard work than you originally thought. On the 27^th   Mars which is currently in retrograde motion, enters the serious water sign of Scorpio kicking up the intensity meter a notch or 10.

The stars in February have a nice selection for us and a few gems thrown in as well. Make sure to markdown Friday the 5th when Venus couples with Pluto in earthy Capricorn. This is an excellent day for business ventures and also increases the chances for intense magnetic attraction's as well as falling deeply in love. Increase your odds for business by carrying a lucky Citrine crystal talisman. Carry a Rose Quartz crystal to increase your chances of attracting love.

 The New Moon in the air sign of Aquarius on the 8th and despite being a generally lucky day, this will have some feeling irritable and prone to anger as both lights are making harsh squares to Mars. The number 8 is generally considered a lucky number in Numerology as it represents the symbol for infinity. The 8th is also Chinese New Year 2016, Year of the Monkey. On the 9th and 10th, Venus makes a beautiful angle to Jupiter in earth signs Capricorn and Virgo. This is an excellent day for business, new ventures and publishing. On the 16th Mercury is finally out of its shadow phase which puts an end to its communication breakdowns and the chaotic energy of last month. On the same day Venus enters the air sign of Aquarius where she will stay for approximately the next 30 days. This energy can manifest as people feeling more analytical about their relationships and love interests.

 The Sun enters the water sign of Pisces on the 19th stimulating our creative side, sensitivity, compassion and spirituality. The Full Moon in Virgo on the 22nd is an excellent time to cleanse or purge yourself and surroundings of unnecessary blockages. This is a time you want to clear out your clutter and donate it to charity. Rid yourself of toxic habits or substances as well as to smudge negativity or illness away. Utilize the energy of the Full Moon with a crystal talisman. Place a Howlite under your pillow to instill a sense of calm and tranquility as well as to invoke pleasant dreams. On the 28th for the night of the Oscars the Moon makes a nice angle to the Sun and Neptune in Pisces. These transits are favorable for creativity, the arts and film. How befitting the Academy Awards are on this night. I have a prediction that The Revenant will win the Oscar for best picture.

We start the week with a lot to say as the Sun, Moon, Mercury and Mars are now all cruising speedily through the air sign of Gemini. Communications will definitely be on the forefront today with four planets feeling the energy of the winged messenger Mercury. New ideas will be popping into your brain with lightning speed. If you have been waiting for that special call or news of some kind, it could very well come in the next couple of days. Expect to receive a lot of messages, tweets and follows through social media as well as a few phone calls to boot. Things should start to go swimmingly today as the Moon which represents our feelings makes lovely aspects with Venus, Jupiter and Uranus. People in general will have a spring in their step.

Tuesday, June 16
New Moon in Gemini-­‐Rock on
The New Moon today is very lucky for new ventures or ideas with the Moon at 25 degrees of Gemini. The next couple of days are good for taking a risk and initiating action. If you've had some ideas swimming in your head and you haven't been sure when to act on them now is the time. The planet Mars is also very close by energizing this New Moon to the max. The impulsive energy of Mars will really stimulate people's desire to go for it, make their dreams come true and to launch their ideas into reality. Rock on!

All this luck and stuff might have you feeling like a yummy snack as the Moon enters the domestic sign of Cancer at 5:51 PM EST. The next couple of days are favorable for spending time with family, children, pets and any other activity that involves your home life. This is an excellent time to treat your family to a home cooked meal so try out that new recipe, they'll love it. It's also a favorable time to work with plants, flowers and gardening in general.

Wednesday, June 17
There are no nasty major aspects happening today and we're still feeling the happy effects of the energizing new Moon of yesterday. The Moon in Cancer is trine Neptune in Pisces which can stir your imagination as they are both in water signs. This is great energy for creating art, music and also will activate your psychic sense of awareness. You will feel in tune with your surroundings as well as with people’s feelings.

Later in the day, things could turn a little emotional, serious and perhaps intense when the watery Moon makes an opposition to Pluto in earthy Capricorn. We all know that if you mix water and earth you get mud, so prepare yourself for a little bit of emotional turbulence or a reality check.

Thursday, June 18
The planet of abundance Jupiter which is currently transiting in the sign of Leo begins to trine Uranus in fellow fire sign of Aries. The exact trine will happen next week however we will begin to feel the effects now building up until then. Jupiter trine Uranus 2015 is a game changer and will bring some wonderful unexpected opportunities our way. These are epic, life changing opportunities, so make sure to answer when it knocks. Stay tuned for a happy surprise.

Overall this is another day when there are no major negative aspects causing celestial storms. However the Moon in Cancer makes a couple of challenging yet minor aspects today which could have sensitive types feeling a little nervous or overwhelmed. Later the Moon squares off with Uranus in Aries which is notorious energy for erratic thinking, unexpected behavior and speech. People in general will be feeling overly sensitive so really watch your tongue or there could be an unexpected emotional outburst that you will regret later.

Friday, June 19
Unlike yesterday, people in general will be patient, reserved and in control of their emotions when the Moon trines Saturn today. Just think of Spock from Star Trek and you'll get the idea. It's a good day to finish one's business before the weekend starts and to tie up any loose ends. This is a good day to seek counsel or advice from an older or more mature person. You may be thinking of times gone by as Saturn will have you feeling rather nostalgic.

The Moon enters the fire sign of Leo where she will stay for the next couple of days. The Moon in Leo is auspicious for romance, dating and yes good old fashioned courting. Take a chance and ask someone out for a date as this energy will help you come across as charming and swag. Really make a good impression by presenting flowers and you will be a winner. The Moon in Leo is good energy to buy gold and jewelry. This is also a favorable time to make a good impression, sales pitch or seek the advice of an authority type.

Saturday, June 20
The weekend starts with you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside thanks to the Moon conjunct Venus in the fire sign of Leo the lion. Karma will drop in when Saturn in Scorpio makes an angle with Pluto in Capricorn which could signify a rebirth, renewal or rejuvenation of some area of your life. Exactly which area it is can only be determined when you look at your birth chart and the transits affecting it. Later on the Moon cozies up to Jupiter as well as makes harmonious aspects with Uranus. This auspicious energy can bring a pleasant surprise.

Sunday, June 21
Reality checks could come crashing down when the Moon squares off with stern Saturn who is considered the teacher of the planets. Think of Saturn as the disciplinarian and authority figure in your life. Saturn is like the cop writing you a ticket and can sometimes feel like a wet blanket or cold bucket of water thrown in your face and squashing your plans. This serious energy will have some Capricorns and Aquarius feeling a little cranky or down in the dumps briefly this morning. Partners of Capricorn or Aquarius should provide plenty of coffee for their grumpy mate and back off or you may feel the wrath.

The Sun enters the watery sign of Cancer at 11:38 AM EST, where it will stay until July 22. Over the next month this will shift our focus to our home life and domestic affairs.

The Moon enters the industrious sign of Virgo she will stay for the next couple of days. This is an excellent time to for studying, working, cleaning your house and removing clutter in your life. Box up the items you don't need and donate them to charity. This is also a good time to really shine at work and impress the boss. The Moon in Virgo is a favorable time to adopt a healthier lifestyle as your health will be on your mind.

Most people will feel happy and in a good mood. You will want to enjoy good food, friends as well as beautiful surroundings and or people.

Life will get more daring and adventurous when the Moon enters happy go lucky sign of Sagittarius. When Luna is in a fire sign she encourages us to take action. Do something, especially concerning the outdoors like hiking or even a picnic. If you have never been on a picnic I encourage you to do so now. The next couple of days will be favorable for beginning a vacation, engaging in sports and spending time outdoors to enjoy nature.

The next couple of days are excellent for getting down to work, concentrating on details, logical thinking and problem solving. It is also a good time to do yard work or to work with earth.

Celestial skies are easy as there are no major aspects for today. The Moon in Capricorn makes a soft aspect to Neptune in Pisces which may have you seeking solitude, feeling a little dreamy or lost in your thoughts. This is a great aspect to read a good book or to write one for that matter. Romance is favorable at this time so take advantage of it with a candlelit dinner for two. Later intense feelings will be awakened, love, desire, even jealousy or obsessiveness may surface temporarily when the Moon conjuncts Pluto in Capricorn. The planet Venus enters the fire sign of Leo where she will stay until July 18. At this time Venus enters the sign of Virgo briefly for less than two weeks before she will retrograde and go back into Leo until October 8. The planet Venus is symbolized by the Greek goddess Aphrodite and represents love, romance, women and beauty. The planet of love also represents money, luxury and sexual desire. During Venus's stay in Leo, we will want to look our best, have a certain pride and people will want to be noticed. Our actions will be done in a big or extravagant way, especially concerning love. You may find yourself coming up with all kinds of wacky inventions or crazy ideas today, think of the nutty professor and your there. Someone unexpected may make their romantic intentions known to you in a unconventional way when the Moon opposes Venus in Leo. Luna also makes a lovely angle with Saturn which will provide grounding, stable energy to the day.


Venus in Leo trine Saturn in Sagittarius would normally be an excellent aspect for a long term commitment, especially with business or a marriage proposal, however with Mercury being in retrograde motion, not as much. If you decide to go for it anyway, be prepared for it not turning out quite the way you expect.

Sunday, June 7
Take the day off and relax as there are no major aspects for today. The Moon in Aquarius makes a harmonious air trine to the Sun in Gemini. This angle will make for smooth sailing in the relationship department. Men and women should get along just fine.

Try not to overdo it or overextend yourself when the Moon opposes Jupiter in Leo. Someone may be boastful or promise more than they can actually deliver. The weekend may end on an exciting note when the Moon trines Mars in Gemini. You may have a brilliant idea or new desire pop into your head. Later you will be encouraged to dare to be different when the Moon sextiles Uranus in Aries. Variety is the spice of life.
